Switching to Protx
If you are already trading online but wish to change payment service providers, switching to Protx is a quick and simple process. You will need to take the following steps:
If you already have a , you will need to inform your merchant bank that you wish to switch payment providers so that they can make your merchant number available for Protx to use.
If you wish to avoid downtime while switching providers, we recommend that you set up a new merchant account with one of the that we work with. This will allow you to keep your existing merchant account with your old provider active while your Protx account is set up, so that you can process refunds or deal with any queries relating to your old payment system.
In the meantime, you can test and develop your website with the Protx service free of charge using the VSP Simulator. The VSP Simulator emulates the Protx Test and Live systems. Register now to use the VSP Simulator.
When you have received your merchant number, all you need to do is decide which Protx package is best suited to you and complete our online application form. If you need help deciding which package is right for you, please visit our service selector for guidance.
Once you have submitted your application form we will contact you by email with step-by-step instructions on how to test your account and what you need to do to integrate your website with Protx.
We will confirm your merchant number with your merchant bank, register your account for 3D Secure and create you a test and live account on the Protx servers. You will be able to log back into the application form whenever you like to track the status of your account.
You can complete your testing and start accepting payments from your customers within a few days!
