In order to start accepting payments from your customers you need to take the following simple steps:
Set up a website and a shopping cart to allow your customers to select the products or services they wish to purchase. If you are new to setting up websites, you can visit our partner section to see a list of web developers and shopping carts that are integrated with Protx.
Obtain an internet with a merchant bank so that they can process your payments. If you wish to take payments over the telephone you will also need to set up a mail order/telephone order merchant account.
Try out the Protx service using the VSP Simulator. The VSP Simulator emulates the Protx Test and Live systems. The simulator is provided free of charge and enables you to test and develop your website before signing up to our services. Register now to use the VSP Simulator.
After you have tested using the VSP Simulator, decide which package you require and complete our online application form. The application will ask you for the details we need to set up an account for you. If you need help deciding which package is right for you, please visit our service selector for guidance.
Once you have submitted your application form we will contact you by email with step-by-step instructions on how to test your account and how to integrate your website with Protx.
In the meantime, we will confirm your merchant number with your merchant bank, register your account for 3D Secure and create you a test and live account on the Protx servers. You will be able to log back into the application form whenever you like to track the status of your account.
You can complete your testing and start accepting payments from your customers within a few days!
